This course provides the required training for those who may discover a hazardous material release and are required to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities. Emphasis is on hazard recognition, potential risks to personnel and surrounding equipment and alerting procedures.

This training course is for individuals who respond to releases of hazardous materials as part of the initial response to the site for the purpose of protecting nearby personnel, property or the environment from the effects of a release. Emphasis is on proper use of PPE and implementing defensive spill response procedures.
